Spokespersons will discuss one of their projects, a cost of living report.
April 1st Alexandra Douglas
Ms Douglas is the program manager for the Friends Women’s Association (FWA), a grassroots women’s clinic focused on HIV/AIDS, sexual violence, and post-genocide trauma in Kamenge, Burundi.
April 8th David Osterberg
Mr. Osterberg from the Iowa Policy Project will return, this time to discuss the Iowa state budget and tax credits. He will talk about the film tax credit, the tax credit for research activities, and about the methods that firms like Wal-mart use to avoid Iowa taxes through loopholes.
April 22nd Maureen McCue
Ms McCue will talk about her upcoming trip to Haiti with a small group of University of Iowa students.
May 13th Dennis Roseman
Mr Roseman is Chair of Johnson County Democrats.
May 27th Bob Krause
Mr. Krause is to discuss his US Senate bid.
